Fertility Issues

When clients are dealing with fertility issues, they may need support to help them navigate expectations, grief, loss, hope, fear, regret. Clients require a safe place where they can share the vulnerability and courage that goes along with fertility challenges. Our society still struggles to properly support and make space for people dealing with fertility issues. There is little space or ritual to embrace pregnancy or infant loss. Often the only place people can share all of the emotions around these issues is with a therapist that can validate and make space for the range of emotions. Clients worry that their friends or family will just ‘say the wrong thing,’ and so a therapeutic environment can provide the space where clients can feel seen, heard and validated for any and all emotions they may be experiencing.
